Apprentice

BACKGROUND

Northampton Saints Foundation was established in 2018 and is the charitable arm of Northampton Saints Rugby Club. With successful programmes in the Education and Inclusion areas and responsible for the research and recording of the Club’s rich history and heritage the Foundation has a clear vision to use the values of rugby and the power of sport to INSPIRE, SUPPORT and EDUCATE young people and their communities, creating positive futures. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working as an Apprentice in the Foundation’s Education and/or Engage inclusion programme
• Assisting with the planning of the Education and/or Engage programme
• The ability to communicate and conduct professional relationships with children, young people and adults
• Have an understanding of how to safeguard the well-being of children and young people
• Assisting sports delivery and supporting our young people
• Creating an environment where young people are able to succeed
• Support the Foundations goal of working with the most at risk in our community

KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS

•Ability to communicate and conduct professional relationships with children, young people, and adults
• Ability to build strong relationships, work as a team as well as using your own initiative
• Experience of working with young people, ideally those from disadvantaged backgrounds
• Strong communication skills with both adults and young people
• Committed to demonstrating the highest standards of delivery to our young people
• Positive mindset, reliable and resilient

OTHER

During your time with Northampton Saints Foundation, you will sit a Level 3 Community Sport and Health Officer Apprenticeship. You will be expected to complete 30 hours a week.
