Can you help Santa and his elves return to Lapland in time to get ready for Christmas, whilst also raising funds for Northampton Saints Foundation?
This year the annual Rotary Santa Fun Run has gone virtual and they have set all participants a mission to collectively run or walk a total of 2850km over eight days.
The event kicks off on 6th December and the progress of participants will be tracked through a dedicated STRAVA group, which you’ll have access to once registered. The journey will take all runners/walkers from Northampton, via Holland and Sweden, to Rovaniemi in Lapland. Don’t worry if you don’t have STRAVA – you can email your progress, and the event organisers will add your miles to the total!
You can sign up for the event via the Rotary’s website HERE, sign up costs from as little as £3.50 (or a little more if you want to order a Santa suit!), and any profits on entry fees this year are being donated to Cynthia Spencer Hospice. The Rotary Clubs have chosen 5 local charities to support through sponsorship of this event and we’re delighted to be one of those. So once you’ve signed up to the challenge, please consider setting up your Rotary Foundation fundraising page or simply make a donation to our ‘pot’ via THIS LINK. Once the event is complete, the Rotary clubs will be distributing the funds raised to each of the charities they are supporting.
You have until 6pm on Sunday 13th December to complete your virtual entry, and don’t forget to tag us on social media with your photos!
