The Roastery joins Founder15 club

The Roastery has become the third Founder15 member, pledging their commitment to support Northampton Saints Foundation for the next three years.

The Roastery – a Wellingborough-based coffee roasting house and specialist supplier of coffee and coffee machines – are a long-time supporter of the Foundation, and have taken the opportunity to cement this support through joining the scheme – which helps change the lives of young people across Northamptonshire.

The Roastery have worked with Foundation students since 2018, and in 2019 developed the ‘Marching In’ coffee blend, with 15% of profit from sales of the blend being donated to the Foundation.

The coffee is sold in various outlets and can be purchased directly from The Roastery HERE, while The Roastery have also now supported 12 Foundation students through its top-class Barista training scheme.

“Becoming one of the first Founder15 members has given all of our team here at The Roastery a huge boost during these uncertain times,” said Marcel Binley, Director at The Roastery.

“For us to know that through our work we are constantly helping the students at the Foundation really motivates us to get through the days, weeks, and months!”

Sue Wright, Fundraising Grants and Events Manager at Northampton Saints Foundation, added: “We are delighted that The Roastery have joined our Founder15 programme.

“We have been working with Marcel and his team for some time now, and are really looking forward to developing this partnership further over the coming three years.

“Founder15 is an exciting new initiative where we work with companies to meet their CSR objectives whilst they support us to improve young lives.

“This commitment, and the revenue it generates, is vital in helping us keep up with the growth in demand for our services – particularly noticeable during this pandemic.”

In return for supporting Northampton Saints Foundation, The Roastery can now access a number of Founder15 benefits, including:

  • Two free places at the Foundation’s annual dinner with the Foundation Player Ambassadors
  • Two free places at each of the Founder15 Coaching Skills & Leadership Skills Workshops, delivered by Volunteer Leadership & Development Consultants Doug Ferguson & Mel Hayward
  • Framed, signed Northampton Saints Shirt (first season)
  • One player appearance
  • Opportunities for staff to volunteer within the Foundation
  • Regular updates on Foundation programmes and the progression of the students
  • Use of our Foundation logo

We are looking for other organisations to join our Founder15 programme, helping us to support young people to better futures. For more information, please contact Sue Wright ([email protected]).
