Engage+ is a programme designed to support young people who are at risk of or have been removed from Foundation Learning courses at Northampton College.
The programme was founded in October 2017 with the support of charity Always a Chance, and targets disengaged Northampton College students and aims to both increase their self-esteem and boost their employability.
Engage+ provides these young people (aged 16-18) an opportunity to study within a professional environment and offers superb work experience opportunities to allow them to develop themselves further.
Engage+ uses practical and classroom-based activities to empower students to see the positives in everyday life. All of our staff are fully trained and experienced in working with students with educational attainment issues and behavioural problems.
"There is such a need for a good alternative provision for students who cannot manage in school. There are not enough provisions in the town which can compare to Engage and the work they do for young people who are in need of this support."Sally Knight, SEND Northamptonshire
