Bearward Engineering, a Wabtec company, kick off Founder15 partnership with inspiring career talk

Students from Northampton Saints Foundation’s Employability programmes have gained an insight into the engineering industry from Bearward Engineering, who have recently become a Founder15 partner.

The partnership is a significant step for Bearward Engineering, demonstrating their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals.

Through this three-year Founder15 partnership, Bearward will contribute to the Foundation's efforts in empowering young people through their education, social inclusion programmes.

Founded in 1958, Bearward designs and manufactures a variety of cooling systems and related components, including radiators and charge air coolers. The company’s customers include manufacturers in the power generation, off-highway and construction markets worldwide.

"We are thrilled to welcome Bearward Engineering as a Founder15 partner" said Gemma Shields, Partnerships Lead at Northampton Saints Foundation. "Their support will enable us to continue our mission to inspire, support and educate young people in our communities. Together, we can create positive change and provide opportunities for the next generation. Already, a group of our students have visited Bearward where the team shared their own career pathway through the company, which they found very interesting. One student has also been offered an Apprenticeship which we look forward to supporting”.

By joining forces, Bearward aim to tackle issues such as reducing those not in education, employment or training by offering career talks, work experience and behind the scenes tours, to offer a career pathway into the company, reflecting their commitment to corporate social responsibility and making a meaningful difference in the communities in which they operate. By supporting the Foundation's programmes, they will not only help to change lives but also enhance their brand, engage their employees, and contribute to their wider CSR goals.

"All staff at Bearward Engineering (a Wabtec Company) are delighted to support Northampton Saints Foundation through the Founder15 scheme" said Nikki Lynas, Bearward Engineering Warehouse Manager and Adrian Meadows, Senior Project Manager.

“Bearward Engineering looks forward to continuing supporting the education and enrichment activities for the students on the programmes that are laid out by the Foundation. Supporting this charity and local community is something that we at Bearward Engineering are pleased to be part of, we all look forward to participating in events set-up over the coming years”.
