Foundation appoints new Fundraising, Grants and Events Officer

The Northampton Saints Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Sue Wright as fundraising, grants and events officer.

It is an important new role that will ensure sustainability across the Saints Foundation's plethora of programmes.

Wright brings a wealth of knowledge to the post as she possesses years of experience from across the national and local charity sector.

Her most recent job was with the British Red Cross, where she was a senior community fundraiser. Prior to that, Wright spent more than five years as a senior fundraiser at Northampton's Hope Centre.

She developed and delivered a fundraising plan, liaised with youth organisations, faith groups and businesses and was key in events management. She also built relationships with trusts, liaised with the media and played a role in website content.

Wright will now turn her attentions to formally launching the fundraising department of the Saints Foundation, supporting our ambitious plans and growth.

She will be tasked with planning and organising an exciting events calendar, while working with existing and potential corporate partners.

Wright will also provide crucial support in the application for relevant grant funding.

And the appointment is one that has delighted Saints Foundation managing director Catherine Deans.

"I am really excited to have Sue on board to lead the formalisation of strategic fundraising for the Northampton Saints Foundation," Deans said.

"It is a vital role in raising awareness and essential funds for the work we do to inspire, support and educate young people in our local community."
