Brand new sensory programme launched at Boost

Sensory Boost, the Foundation’s newest education programme, aims to INSPIRE and SUPPORT young people in their cognitive, social and emotional development.

Participants are able to enjoy an active session on the trampolines, with thanks to delivery partners Boost Trampoline Parks, followed by a sensory interaction and exploration session.

Young people attending the programme will learn how to self-regulate their own thoughts and feelings, create self-awareness, develop their communication and confidence, plus master the skills to increase independence.

Liam Welch, Education Programme Lead said “The Foundation have been working in partnership with Boost for some time, via our education and social inclusion programmes, so we were thrilled to learn they had recently upgraded their rooms to include a sensory area which the Foundation can utilise for our new sensory programme. The programme is exciting for everyone at Northampton Saints Foundation as we know how important sensory play is in a child’s development to help build nerve connection, improve cognitive growth and to develop motor skills. We encourage Primary and Secondary schools, SEND groups and establishments to get in touch to book their place.”

The programme, suitable for all ages, can be adapted to suit learners’ specific needs, refreshments are provided, and each young person will receive a pair of jumping socks which are required in order to bounce.  We recommend a group size of between 6-12 young people but this can be discussed upon booking.
