Northampton Saints Foundation is proud to welcome Ironstone Wellbeing Centre as the latest member of their Founder15 scheme, a group of businesses committed to changing the lives of young people across Northamptonshire and beyond.
Based in Kettering, Ironstone Wellbeing is Northamptonshire’s first purpose-built wellbeing centre, offering a diverse mix of yoga, Pilates, and fitness classes for all abilities. From hot yoga and reformer Pilates to restorative yoga and group fitness sessions, their team promotes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
Through our new partnership, Ironstone will play an active role in supporting young people on our Employability programmes, by hosting career workshops, providing real insight into the health and wellbeing industry, and helping to map out career pathways within the sector. As part of this collaboration, Ironstone also be developing opportunities for hands-on learning, including a creative project where our students will design a social media campaign for Ironstone, supporting Ironstone's services and opportunities in rest and recovering alongside the benefits of resistance training in later life.
Craig Phillips, Employability and Skills Manager at Northampton Saints Foundation, said “Ironstone shares our belief in providing young people with tangible skills, exposure to new industries, and the confidence to take their next step. We’re looking forward to a series of learning events, workshops and holistic interventions that tie into our ‘Journey to Work and work Journey ‘Theory of Change’ models, helping to ensure that more young people leave our programmes with a clear, supported route into employment or further training”.
Ben Oxford, Studio Director at Ironstone, added "Northampton Saints Foundation is doing amazing work with a group of our community that can so easily slip through the net. We see that now more than ever, children and young adults need access to new learning opportunities outside of a traditional school environment to set them up for the working world. At Ironstone, as well as providing a fun outlet to try new things, we want to help in the shared ambition to develop these young adults and give them the skills to progress in the health and wellbeing industry. Exciting things to come"
Ironstone joins a growing network of businesses across Northampton, Corby, Kettering and Milton Keynes who are backing our mission through the Founder15 partnership. Their support, alongside that of other members, will enable us to continue tackling issues such as youth unemployment, anti-social behaviour and disengagement from education all while opening up new doors for young people who need it most.
