Northampton Saints Foundation are thrilled to announce we have received £73,200 of funding to support our Education and Social Inclusion departments through the pandemic from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund – distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund.
This funding, which will help to cover core costs for July to December of this year, is very much welcomed as the pandemic has had a significant impact on our fundraising plans. Thanks to the Government for making this possible.
Catherine Deans, Managing Director of Northampton Saints Foundation, said: “As with most businesses and charities, the COVID-19 Pandemic has had a huge impact on NSF.
“We saw a significant loss in ongoing core funding, due to the lack of ability to fundraise on rugby match days and through organised events. As a team we have worked together to look at other funding initiatives such as grants and digital fundraising.
“Whilst our Education programme was put on hold back in March, our Social Inclusion programme has continued to support our vulnerable young students, both onsite and through remote learning, and we are continuing this support through the summer with our Aspire programme.”
