Foundation thank Veolia for EcoCup Bin donation

Northampton Saints Foundation extends its gratitude to Veolia for their gift of EcoCup donation bins.

Veolia kindly donated eight bins to the Northampton Saints Foundation to use on matchdays to collect EcoCups, which when deposited by Saints supporters at Franklin’s Gardens makes a £1 donation to the Foundation.

"The EcoCup bins have been incredibly successful in raising important funds to support our projects."

Matt Goode, Head of Foundation

So far, the initiative has been a great success, with the Foundation receiving £377 after the Harlequins game and a whopping £913 following the Saracens fixture.

Head of Foundation Matt Goode says the Foundation can’t thank Veolia enough for their donation and hopes that Saints’ supporters will continue to be as generous this weekend.

“I’ve been blown away by the generosity of the Saints supporters so far this season,” Goode commented.

“The support the Foundation has received since we launched in September has been brilliant and long may that continue.

“Thanks must go to Veolia for their kind gift of the EcoCup bins, they have been incredibly successful in raising important funds to support the Foundation’s projects, and that wouldn’t have been possible without them.”

And Veolia’s Area Account Executive, Paul Godfrey, said the company was delighted to be able to help the Foundation’s cause.

“As a company we have a great desire to help community projects and to be on board with the Northampton Saints Foundation is something we’re very happy to be involved in.

“We’re looking forward to seeing this wonderful project move forward and achieve its future goals.”

You can donate to the Northampton Saints Foundation this weekend as Saints face Clermont in the European Challenge Cup at Franklin’s Gardens.

The Foundation will be present around the stadium with bucket collections, as well as the EcoCup bins being in use around the stadium. By depositing your EcoCup, you will give the £1 you would normally have had refunded on the return of your cup directly to the Foundation.
