In honor of World Book Day, Ethan Waller, Northampton Saints prop, has shared his love for literature through two videos to inspire children to read.
In the first video, Ethan delves into the enchanting world of "Harry Potter" by J.K. Rowling, while the second features him reading "A Squash and a Squeeze" by Julia Donaldson, a much-loved book of his daughter's. These videos, shared by Northampton Saints Foundation, aim to create meaningful discussions about the joys of reading among children and inspire them to explore the magic of storytelling.
"We hope these videos spark engaging conversations with children about their favourite books and motivate them to pick up a book. We have shared them with several schools who will be using them in their assemblies, and we hope everyone has a fantastic day celebrating!" expressed Liam Welch, Education Lead at the Northampton Saints Foundation.
Northampton Saints Foundation extends an invitation to schools interested in additional support through the Foundation's education programmes. These programmes aim to encourage students to embrace physical activity, develop character, enhance self-esteem, build aspirations, and unlock their full potential.
All programmes provide opportunities for cross-curricular learning, linking to PESSPA (Physical Education, School Sport & Physical Activity) and include key indicators from the Sports Premium.
