Foundation Day 2024: What to expect

With Foundation Day just around the corner, Northampton Saints Foundation reveal an exciting line-up of activities scheduled for when Northampton Saints face Saracens in the Gallagher Premiership. 

Taking place under the Friday night lights on 29th March (kick off 7.45pm), the event support by Keepmoat, aims to raise crucial funds to support people in the community via the Foundation’s programmes, with the ambitious target of £50,000.  We understand that times are tough right now, and appreciate all your support on this day and throughout the year.

What to expect 

Free flags 
We’ll be handing out free flags around the ground, thanks to our flag sponsor Approved Business Finance.

Players around the stadium  
As you walk around the stadium, look out for Northampton Saints players who will be taking selfies and signing items for a donation. Don’t forget to bring cash for their buckets or scan the QR codes to donate.   

Guess the balloons 
We’ve loaded up our cinch van with balloons, but can you guess how many are inside? Entries cost £2 and the nearest guess will win a an Easter hamper! The winner will be announced at half time, and will be contacted via phone by 5pm on Wednesday 3rd April. 

Face painting
Donate a small fee to get your face painted, by visiting Deb from Little Faces Face Painting, in the inclusion hub. 

Polar Events
Polar Events will be kindly donating 10p of every pint of lager sold from their bars in the fan village.  

Barclays supporting 
Barclays volunteers will be joining us and will have our selfie frames. They will be around the stadium with some of our players, and will be encouraging everyone to have pictures with a player, for a donation of course,  a perfect way to capture the day!  Why not tag us on social media with your photos. Barclays will also have one of their members of staff in the stocks near Gate 2 (Heroes) and you will have a chance to throw water sponges at them. They also have an Easter Egg tombola, which you will find in the Supporter village underneath the canopy.  

Raffle 
Win a night at Flore House, a hot air balloon ride, signed Saints items and a whole host of other prizes in our raffle. Tickets cost £5, look out for our Foundation volunteers and staff around the ground.  For a full list of prizes, click here.  Thank you to everyone who kindly donated prizes to support this event. 

Auction 
We have some incredible items in our auction which will go live on Wednesday 27th March. Keep an eye on our website and social media for more information. Lots include framed and signed Courtney Lawes boots, a kicking session with Fin Smith and George Furbank, watch a training session and eat lunch with Phil Dowson and a Teams call from Angus Scott-Young.  

Warm up shirts
Northampton Saints players will be wearing Foundation branded warm up t-shirts which will be available by auction at a later date.   

Half time activation 
Stay in your seats at half time as three individuals will be taking to the pitch to take part in a game of rugby pong to win a range of prizes.  Competition closes 5pm on Monday 25th March. Enter here  

Eco Cups 
Pop your cups into the Foundation’s branded bins, or after the game, our volunteers will be standing around the pitch with large Travis Perkins bags and you can put your cups in here.  Each cup equals a donation to the Foundation. Help us beat last year’s total of 1,928. 

Ways to donate 

Bucket Shakes 
Bring cash for our buckets which will be held by Northampton Saints players and Foundation representatives. 

Donate on ticket purchase 
It’s not too late to purchase your tickets to the game. Every individual who contributes, will be entered into a draw to win a fantastic prize: a Christmas party table for 10 at cinch Stadium at Franklin's Garden, generously donated by Levy UK + Ireland. Click here to purchase. 

Text to donate

(texts will cost your donation amount, plus your standard message rate, please make sure you have the bill payer’s permission).  

Donate online 
Make a donation online by clicking here. Just £5 could provide a confidence boosting activity for a young person. 

QR codes 
Look out for QR codes on posters, screens and banners around the ground which link to our online donations. 

Donate in the shop 
Press YES to a donation to the Foundation when you pay by card in the Saints shop.
