Mowerman

Foundation named as charity for Annual Tractor Run

Northampton Saints Foundation are thrilled to announce they have been selected as one of the charities to benefit from Mowerman Garden Machinery Ltd’s annual tractor run, taking place on Sunday 14th December.

Now in its fourth year, the event aims to spread festive cheer and raise funds for local charities. Last year, up to 70 tractors lined the streets, illuminated with lights and seasonal decorations, creating a magical spectacle for the community. This year, the tractors will set off from the Citrus Group car park and make their way through Irthlingborough, Finedon, Wellingborough and Irchester, before arriving at Rushden Lakes,. With the final route being confirmed, the public are encouraged to follow Mowerman Garden Machinery Ltd’s on Facebook who will be sharing the journey one week before the event.

Mowerman Garden Machinery Ltd, specialists in servicing, repairing, and selling a wide range of mowers, have long been committed to giving back to the community. The funds raised from this festive evening will support the Foundation’s vital programmes.

Founded in 1880 by Reverend Samuel Wathen Wigg, Northampton Saints originally aimed to guide troubled youth through rugby. Today, the Foundation continues that mission, using the power of sport and the values of rugby to inspire, support, and educate thousands each year. Our programmes focus on education, social inclusion, employability, and specialist services, helping individuals build confidence, develop life skills, and access new opportunities.

Imogen Martin, Fundraising Officer at the Foundation, said: "We are really excited to be involved this year. It’s quite the spectacular seeing all the lights, perfect for getting into the festive spirit! We will have a stall at Rushden Lakes, with our staff and volunteers bucket shaking. Please come along to chat with us, find out more about the Foundation, and give what you can."

The Mowerman Tractor Run promises to be a fun-filled, festive event for all ages, supporting local charities and bringing the community together in celebration.
