Support for the Foundation grows as companies sponsor their charity partnership schemes

Northampton Saints Foundation are delighted to announce Scotts of Thrapston, TMI Foods and Meridian Audio are supporting the Foundation through their Founder15 and Sponsor a Student scheme.

By becoming a Founder15 member Scotts of Thrapston and TMI Foods helps the Foundation to change the lives of young people in Northamptonshire. This will make a huge difference to the lives of local young people, ultimately reducing the number of NEET’s (not in education, employment, or training) and importantly reducing instances of anti-social behaviour, crime and gang membership.

The Foundation’s Social Inclusion and Education departments work with young people aged 10 -19, using the ethos of Northampton Saints and the power of sport to Inspire, Support and Educate them. Their programmes use practical and classroom-based activities to empower these young people, increase their confidence and provide them with the skills to improve their life chances.

Jordan Letts, Head of Foundation and Social Inclusion Lead says, “Our aim is that each student on our programmes is able to identify a positive pathway into their future, enabling them to make better life choices, which is made possible by these valuable partnerships”.

Scotts of Thrapston, Northamptonshire timber products manufacturer, celebrated its’ 100 year anniversary in 2020. The long-running family business continues to design, manufacture and supply high quality specialist timber products, including Summerhouses, Timber Stables, Garages & Outbuildings as well as Timber Engineering solutions, across the UK.

James Scott, Managing Director, commented, “At Scotts, we always look at ways to give back to the local community and so we are delighted to partner with Northampton Saints Foundation and support such an amazing programme. We hope our partnership with them over the next three years will change even more lives and create many more positive and successful futures.”

In addition, the Foundation are equally delighted to have the support of Meridian Audio as they sponsor a student.

Sponsor a Student scheme allows individuals and businesses to provide financial support to help the Northampton Saints Foundation deliver 12 months of learning for a young person through our support programmes.

Each donation helps us to continue to create an infrastructure of skills, people, resources, and facilities to Inspire, Support and Educate young people within our community – helping them on their pathway into training, development and employment opportunities for a better future.

Each of the students at Northampton Saints Foundation has struggled within mainstream education for different reasons that could be: academic or behavioural difficulties, experiencing trauma at home, or becoming involved in anti-social behaviour or crime. Our aim is that each of our students enjoys a better future.

“At Meridian, we have seen first-hand the evolution of technology over the last forty years.  In this ever-changing world, we recognise the importance of investing in the future and as such we are delighted to be working with and supporting the Northampton Saints Foundation.  The last 18 months has highlighted just how vulnerable some young people are and supporting the Saints Foundation is a great opportunity for Meridian to help those who need it most.”

John Buchanan, Chief Executive Officer Meridian Audio Ltd

We want to enable young people to make better life choices, and you could be part of that journey. The funds from these three companies help us to continue supporting those that need it the most.
