Foundation supporter and mentor signs up to Sponsor a Student Scheme

Northampton Saints Foundation are delighted to announce that supporter Leon Mangan has pledged his support via the Sponsor a Student scheme.

Leon has over the past few months, played a key role as a mentor to Jordan Letts, Head of Foundation and we are delighted that Leon is now further supporting the Foundation with a donation to our Sponsor a Student Scheme.  This scheme is a unique way to financially support a young person at the Saints Foundation with 12 months of learning to help them on their pathway to employment.

“We are so thankful for Leon’s support through our Sponsor a Student scheme” said Letts. “We have been meeting regularly and Leon’s wealth of knowledge around business management and strategy creation is supporting my development. To date we have looked at staff management, target setting, strategy mapping and career aspirations. The support Leon has given me has been some of the most positive within my professional career. I look forward to developing our relationship and working with Leon into the future”.

"I encourage anyone or their businesses to join in and help make a difference”

Leon Mangan

Each of our students has struggled within mainstream education as a result of academic or behavioural difficulties, trauma or becoming involved in anti-social behaviour or crime. Each donation means we can continue to use the values of Northampton Saints and the power of sport to Inspire, Support and Educate young people within our community.

Leon Mangan said “I have been working with Jordan and the Foundation for the last six months and have been amazed at how much of an impact they are making on young people's lives. I am fortunate that my employer, Salesforce, encourages and facilitates spending a portion of my working time with charities, as well as donating our product and money to help NFPs such as the Saints Foundation. What better way to make an impact than doing this with a charity in my local community. The business of business is improving the state of the world and I encourage anyone or their businesses to join in and help make a difference”.

Our aim is that each of our students enjoys a better life and your support helps us to continue to create an infrastructure of skills, people, resources and facilities.
