Northampton Saints Foundation collecting for local foodbanks at Exeter fixture

Northampton Saints Foundation will be collecting for the Daventry and Northampton foodbanks on Friday 28 December, as the Club take on Exeter Chiefs in the Gallagher Premiership.

The foodbanks – which provide emergency supplies to families in need – are often stretched to the limit over the festive period as families struggle to make ends meet.

But last year the generosity of the Saints supporters helped hundreds of families across the county.

And so, this year Saints Foundation are once again asking supporters to bring non-perishable items to the Christmas clash against Exeter at Franklin’s Gardens, which can be donated at the Foundation’s gazebo located near the Club’s reception from 6pm, as well as another collection point outside Gate 3 which leads into the Supporter Village.

“We’re very proud to be supporting the Daventry and Northampton foodbanks at our next home game,” said Jordan Letts, Saints Foundation’s social inclusion manager.

“Foodbanks provide crucial provisions to families who are going through hard times, so we are imploring our staff and supporters to get behind this brilliant project and contribute generously.

“More and more families are finding it difficult to get by, especially at this time of year. We’re delighted to keep on supporting this worthy project as part of our commitment to help the local community.”
