Old Northamptonians becomes new home for Northampton Saints Foundation programmes

Old Northamptonians’ home on the Billing Road has become the new base for some of Northampton Saints Foundation’s programmes.

The demand for our programmes continues to grow at pace, meaning a fresh setting was sought.

And ONs have provided the perfect solution, offering a large working space, independent kitchen and outdoor space for students and giving the Saints Foundation the chance to provide more places to support young people.

The Foundation supported schools across Northamptonshire for many years by providing programmes for disengaged young people at risk of exclusion by improving motivation, self-esteem and learning of young people through the values of rugby and the medium of sport.

And the move to Old Northamptonians will be crucial in helping the Saints Foundation to achieve its aims of strategic growth and offering support to all young people that need it. It also means the Saints Foundation is able to ‘give back’ to grassroots rugby by optimising the use of ON’s clubhouse through a commercial agreement at a time that there is little use of the space.

“We are extremely grateful to ONs for the support they have given to date,” said Saints Foundation managing director Catherine Deans.

“Being able to hold sessions at Billing Road is important as the Foundation goes from strength to strength, and we look forward to working with the ONs for the foreseeable future.”
