Saints Foundation welcomes food donations from Greencore

Northampton Saints Foundation are delighted to welcome another partner on board with Greencore the latest to join the team.

Greencore is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of convenience foods, supplying a wide range of chilled and ambient foods to some of the most successful retail and food service customers and are a large employer within Northampton.

And now, with the Saints Foundation dedicated to instilling the merits of healthy eating within its students, Greencore will also be kindly donating 30 sandwiches every day.

“All our students are very grateful as the sandwiches are both delicious and healthy, and we look forward to working side-by-side with Greencore!”

Not only will Greencore be ensuring that participants on the Foundation’s multiple programmes are well nourished each day, but the convenience foods producer is also inviting students on the Engage Plus and HITZ initiatives to come into the company and gain experience of a real-life working environment.

“We are really excited to come on board with the Northampton Saints Foundation,” said Andy Atherton, commercial director at Greencore.

“We’re hoping we can help many young people thrive through this programme, and everyone within the company is proud to be able to support such a valuable cause.”

Matt Goode, Saints Foundation’s fundraising and partnerships manager, added: “We really want to thank Greencore so much for their amazing generosity.

“These food donations have already made a huge impact on the Foundation, and partnerships like this one are so important in allowing our charity to make some real progress.

“All our students are very grateful as the sandwiches are both delicious and healthy, and we look forward to working side-by-side with Greencore on some of our initiatives in the future!”
