Northampton Saints Foundation is delighted to announce a new partnership with Marvel Padel, who have chosen the Foundation as their official charity partner ahead of their highly anticipated opening this summer.
As part of the partnership, Marvel Padel will also join the Foundation’s Founder 15 scheme, demonstrating a shared commitment to supporting the local community and creating positive opportunities across Northamptonshire and beyond.
Currently under construction at Riverside Retail Park, Marvel Padel is set to become Northamptonshire’s premier indoor padel destination when it opens in June/July 2026, bringing world-class sporting facilities, wellness experiences and social spaces to the town.
The new venue will feature Adidas and LTA-approved padel courts, including four premium Adidas 180 panoramic courts and one premium panoramic single court, the first Adidas courts of their kind in Northampton. Alongside the courts, visitors will also be able to enjoy a premium upstairs wellness centre designed to support recovery, wellbeing and performance.
The partnership also reflects a shared commitment to supporting the wellbeing of young people across Northamptonshire. As the charitable arm of Northampton Saints Rugby Club, Northampton Saints Foundation uses the power of sport and the values of rugby to inspire, support and educate thousands of people each year through education, social inclusion, employability and wellbeing programmes.
“We are thrilled to have Marvel Padel support as our Founder 15 partner for the next three years and be their official charity partner at such an exciting stage in their journey” said Jordan Letts, Chief Executive Officer of Northampton Saints Foundation. “The positive impact of sport and physical activity on young people’s mental and physical health is well recognised, and partnerships like this play an important role in helping us continue to create opportunities that inspire and empower the next generation”.
He continued “Activities such as padel encourage movement, teamwork and social interaction, all of which are essential in helping young people build confidence, develop resilience and form connections with others. It also has the power to reduce feelings of isolation, improve self-esteem and support positive mental wellbeing, while creating environments where individuals feel supported and motivated to thrive. These outcomes sit at the heart of what we do through our programmes.”
Sam Phipps, Director of Marvel Padel added “We are delighted to be working alongside the Foundation as we bring a premium padel and wellness experience to Northampton. Padel has an amazing ability to unite people, improve wellbeing and help individuals feel part of a positive and supportive community. Our goal is not only to grow the sport, but to ensure it reaches people who may never have had access to facilities or opportunities like this before.”
The Foundation looks forward to sharing more of the partnership over the next few years.
