Nene Valley Rotary Club Sponsor a Student for the second year running

The Rotary Club of the Nene Valley have given their financial support to provide a young person with 12 months of learning with the help of the Foundation's Sponsor a Student scheme.

The support shown by the Rotary Club of the Nene Valley, a thriving club who raise money for local charities through an active social calendar, means the Foundation can continue to create an infrastructure of skills, people, resources and facilities to INSPIRE, SUPPORT and EDUCATE young people within our community.

Tony Roberts, Past President of the Rotary Club of the Nene Valley, and its current Council member responsible for youth projects, said ‘Rotary International has Youth Service as one of the cornerstones of what Rotary Clubs do. Justifiably so, given that young people are the future of the country, The Rotary Club of the Nene Valley is very proud to be a supporter of Northampton Saints Foundation given the tremendous work it does in rehabilitating students who are struggling in mainstream education bringing them back into such education or providing them with work for the future. The success rate achieved in these endeavours is outstanding’.

Gemma Shields, Fundraising, Events and Products Officer at the Foundation added ‘We are very grateful for The Rotary’s support. Their contribution allows the Foundation to continue the work we do to support young people through our programmes. This partnership will contribute to the Foundation sustaining our valuable and vital work, providing educational support and opportunities that create positive pathways resulting in brighter and positive futures for our young people”.
