A night dedicated to honouring outstanding businesses and individuals, has taken place at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club, where Northampton Saints Foundation were proudly recognised at the prestigious Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards.

Finalists for Community Project of the Year, the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards serve as a platform to acknowledge and celebrate businesses and professionals who have made significant contributions to the local community.

Additionally, Emma Lewthwaite who works as an Apprentice at the Foundation, was recognised for her exceptional contributions, earning a nomination for Apprentice of the Year.

Although the Foundation did not secure the top spot, the team expressed gratitude for the recognition and the opportunity to raise further awareness for the impactful work they do within the community. Catherine Deans, the Managing Director at Northampton Saints Foundation, said "It was a pleasure to be nominated, and I am immensely proud of our team for the dedication they consistently demonstrate.”

"While we may not have taken home the trophies, the nominations themselves is a testament to the hard work and commitment we put into making a positive impact on the lives of people in our community. We will continue to strive for excellence and remain focussed in our mission. Emma should be incredibly proud of herself too, she embraces her role, and enjoys connecting with the young people she supports on our 16+ programmes, helping them increase their self-confidence and preparing them for the next steps."

Northampton Saints Foundation has been a driving force in creating positive change within the community, using the values of rugby and the power of sport to inspire, support and educate people across Northampton, Milton Keynes and Ipswich. With 6,000 people each year taking part in our social inclusion, education and community projects, countless lives have been positive affected.

The nomination for Apprentice of the Year further highlights the commitment of individuals like Emma, who contribute significantly to the Foundation's success.
